Chinese Manga? Where is it?

April 5-7, 2014

While I am very excited about the upcoming Japanese anime and manga convention.  And I certainly enjoy my share of Japanese animation.  I cannot help but allow my thoughts to wander to China.  As they always do...China this and China that.

What about Chinese Manga?  Chinese cartoons?  You know, kid stuff!  

Now that's my kind of entertainment!

Modern Chinese children's programming is delightful.  The children in my Hawaii Chinese language classroom and I enjoy it every day.  It is quite funny, with delightful music and excellent design.  

Here are some screenshots of my favorite designs.

American students are gobbling up Chinese Manga.  And why shouldn't they?  The Chinese voice characters are cute and endearing.  As well as, the story line is easy enough to follow and the music is catching.

Chinese children's animation is certainly here to stay in this Chinese language classroom.

Everything from 乐乐 Elmo to 喜羊羊。  Chinese Manga is a certain delight.
